I'm glad you're counting a spectacle of appreciation with confirmation.
I know that you and nathan are familiar
Lets stick to the subject.
You mentioned the serpent which God had made wise, wisdom was not forbidden, general knowledge wasn't forbidden, the tree of Life was not forbidden... but the serpent entity who inhabited the tree of knowledge of good and evil was prohibited from leaving it (stationed there after being banished from Heaven?) and being the "prince of the air" and "lord of flies" his mission was to bring forth death to mankind albeit indirectly, they would have to participate in the rebellion at will regardless of outside persuasion.
"you must not eat of any tree"?
The serpent carefully phrases this question to appear as tho he is genuinely interested, coming across as merely engaging in casual conversation yet seemingly perplexed and confused as to the details of Gods one command to Adam and Eve.. in actuality he is coordinating the dialogue between him and Eve because he expects her to correct him, which she does, so he can hit her with half truths to bedazzle her. He declared "Lies, you surely wont die, for God knows that once you eat of the fruit your eyes will be open and you will be like gods having the knowledge of good and evil"
That last part is true for the reason the tree of life becomes restricted is because "they have become like us" and also their eyes did open as they saw and hid their nakedness, but the lie was that they would not die, that God would potentially become jealous of Adam and Eve having the knowledge of Good and Evil... Eve could not resist temptation, it was the devils lies that compelled her take and give to her husband.
Thus the same devil that was cast out from Heaven to be bound to a tree was banished again from the tree unto the ground to crawl on its belly, the third will be the lake of fire.
God did not create evil, the angel willed himself to take on the thrown of God due to his pride and was repelled out of Heaven like a bolt of lightning to the earth, darkness cannot penetrate light and evil is the absence of the presence of God, not a creation of God
