I‘m LCMS; how many of you here who are Lutheran are LCMS? And if not, what Lutheran denomination are you?

LCMS here.

Quite a large number of our community are, but Lamm and I are by far the most active here. I think we have one who is ELCA but rarely posts.

As Josiah said, I'm LCMS. I grew up Indiana/Kentucky and then they merged into ELCA and it became weird so my mom stopped going and eventually my sister and I stopped going there too.

Weird how? Someone I went to high school with goes to an ELCA and has invited me to her church, but I’m not interested, and even if I was, it’s farther than I want to drive. We have lots of churches in my area so I don’t want to drive far.

At first they started begging for money. It was like every sermon had them telling the congregation that they needed more money so that the focus was on their money issues instead of Jesus. Then came the woman "associate pastor" which was odd. Just random stuff like that.

Ah, I wouldn’t like that, either. And coming from a Catholic background, I want a male pastor. I did check out a UCC that had a husband/wife pastor team. I didn’t care for it at all.
Another church I checked out was ND and that church was always putting the pressure on the congregation for money, I think because they decided to build a new church even though the church they have is still fairly new.
