Does Daniel chapters 8 and 11 prophesy about events that took place in Maccabees?

Daniel specifically says that the goat is Greece. And it says that it defeated the Medes and the Persians. It’s a historical fact that Alexander the Great defeated the Persians, which is what 1 Maccabees chapter 1 says. If you’re going to deny that, then it’s because you haven’t researched it for yourself. You’re being a “know-it-all” when you haven’t studied it yourself.
The below in brackets sounds far from historical fact far as I can see.

[ 14 They built in Jerusalem a stadium like those in the Greek cities. They had surgery performed to hide their circumcision, .........]

Ever heard of jews building greek stadiums?
Or a surgery to hide circumcision?

What does that have to do with the fact that Daniel 8 prophesied that the Greeks would defeat the Persians?

Which is why i don't believe maccabees has any connection to daniel.
I'm of the opinion that the vision given Daniel will occur at a later time than the present.
Will not know for sure until the scroll is unsealed.

Blessings Always

Let me know when you find that “other” Greek king that defeated the Persians. Good luck with that (rolling eyes).

Do you realize that the Jews who built Greek stadiums were sinning against God and compromising with the world? Did you bother to read that in context?

And how a person can hide their circumcision with surgery is beyond even today's level of medical practices.

Remember,
Sorcerers lie about history.

I implore you to use God given discernment to scrutinize and find The Truth.
When both jews and greeks are being excessively denigrated in the books of maccabees. Consider who benefits from such.
It's no coincidence that the book was allegedly written during the roman occupation of judae/israel.

Or did you miss that historical detail?

The distinctiction between goat and ram in daniel is something that cought my attention to detail concerning east and west.

Matthew 25:31–46: "But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Shall I continue the discussion of how Greco/Roman culture has been appropriated by the north American government.
Or would you prefer to continue a thesis based on political science void of facts?

..where Judah Maccabee re-dedicated the Temple back to God and Gods people by driving the Greek pagans out of it, the Feast of Dedication is NOT a pagan holiday and the Bible would NOT use a pagan holiday as a seasonal stamp to identify when Jesus did or said anything in particular.

Exactly! Jesus, our Lord celebrated it. It is not something to be mocked or ridiculed, like they have childishly been doing!

Reverse circumcision surgery.
Excerpt;
[ Foreskin restoration is of ancient origin and dates back to the reign of the Roman Emperor Tiberius (AD 14-37),]

Coincidence that Rome is the originator?

Seriously? Circumcision is what you’re focused on? What about the fact that Daniel prophesies about Alexander the Great defeating the Persians? That’s what 1 Maccabees says. The early church declared this to be scripture.

I am showing you evidence for the reason I don't see any connection between Daniel and maccabees.
And a plausible explanation as to why the books are excluded from the Hebrew TaNaKh.

You haven’t explained anything.
Ok, so you’re wondering how they covered up their circumcision. Who knows? There’s probably some way of hiding it. That doesn’t prove anything. Early church councils declared Maccabees to be scripture, and secular historians have Maccabees in high regard for historical accuracy.

By "Early church councils" I suppose you mean the Romans.
That is what is very suspect in my opinion.
Along with the supposed historians that followed.

There is no such thing as reversing or covering circumcision ever mention in Torah, Hebrew halacha, or history.

Blessed be The Truth

Paul talks about reversing it in the New Testament.
And no, it wasn’t just the Romans who accepted Maccabees as scripture. It was also the churches in Carthage, Hippo, Alexandria, and countless other churches.

Spiritually yes.
But not a physical surgery as maccabees claims.

No, Paul talks about physically undoing it.
Gosh, why are you so obsessed with circumcision?

Where, why, and how maccabees claims a surgical reversal of circumcision shows that there is very little if not zero integrity or veracity to the account in whole.

Physical circumcision is permanent.

Because This is the "Christianity Theology Forum".
Ephesians 4:25
And a tennet of said theology is to truthfully represent scripture including ole sh'aul expounding in his letter to the romans
