Issues with Iconography

What would you say is your reservation with the use of Iconography?

I don't.

I think there was an Ecumenical Council (one of the 7) that dealt with this and essentially said it's okay. I don't remember the details (perhaps you know them, George).

I look at this as an ancient EASTERN devotional aide. And a beautiful art form. Roman Catholics have their Rosary, which I also consider simply a devotional aide. My conclusion about such things is that if it is an aide then that's good. It may not be a part of MY custom but that doesn't make them wrong

I don't have one, so long as they are used as aides in devotion. I have a couple of icons I bought in Greece and Spain that I really like, Jesus and St. Mark.

I use a Rosary on occasion as well, I don't mind crucifixes either. But then, I think you will find more acceptance of these among Lutherans and Anglicans than one might among Protestants in general.
