I'm certain that many a studious member of this forum is aware of The parable concerning arrogance or hypocrisy.

Even so.

All are welcomed, encouraged , and questioned to search where a person can find examples of the, "log in the eye" mentioned in The Torah.

Blessings Always

My log blew up and turned into millions of bits of sawdust - all in my eye.

None of us can be fully aware of our own biases or how our behaviour "lands" on others. Even the most introspective of us will have logs. I think the point is, though, that we are aware we have them, and that our behaviour is not always perfect or welcomed by others, that we are hypocrites - all of us - in some ways because we all judge. Like maturity, removing the logs and sawdust is a process, takes time, and is never fully complete.

[ Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. ]

Above in brackets from verse 7 and 8.
There is mention from The Lord about asking.
Asking" being the prominent focus of concern far as I see.
There is mention about 'asking amiss, or grumbling found throughout Torah(first 5 books)

If a person were to search through scripture and history of a nation and kingdom.
Where would they find mention of water healed by a log?

Blessings Always

True

Within the fluidity of time.

All of us are in need of healing waters.
Whether a person recognizes a log in water, or salt in water, or water soaked logs aflame.

Healing is a perspective of need.

In shemot(exodus) a person will find a hint of the log in a single eye.

12 springs likened to a single eye of living Water where 12 manner of fruit are found after asking and seeking.
Interestingly there are 70 palm trees.
I wonder where they can be found in the temple?

{ס}26 and He said: 'If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His eyes, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon thee, which I have put upon the Egyptians; for I am the LORD that healeth thee.' 27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve springs of water, and three score and ten palm-trees; and they encamped there by the waters.

Nope. I'm not afraid of much. Failure, maybe.

Hypocrisy is all through the Bible. The Pharisees had some logs, the group ready to stone the woman caught in sin had logs - at least they recognized their logs, as in "he who is without sin can cast the first stone." The church as a whole has logs - doesn't one of the letters to the churches in Revelation address that? We are all hypocrites. There is no one perfect, no not one. Like I said, I think the point is to introspect with self-honesty, become aware of our judgements and biases, and do what we can to eliminate the negative affect they have on others. You know, make amends, seek grace.

24The people complained against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord instructed him concerning a piece of wood, which he cast into the water, and the water became sweet. There He gave them a statute and an ordinance, and there He tested them.

Concerning a peice of would and worship of The Lord Most High.

For all readers i have a question:

Where will a person, son or daughter, find in testimony from the prophets peices of wood that are drenched in water?

A quiet place of peace is what I found while exploring the terrain of torah.
Where hope has a place upon the heart and whole armor is freely given.
