Why or Why not?

I do. It's a setting in the Chrome Browser that I have activated. Sometimes, I type too fast and all my misspelled words are automatically underlined in red. I just have to click the word, and Google shows me the proper spelling via a dropdown option.

Rarely as I am a good speller. Spell check does come in handy for some words that are more difficult to remember the spelling.

Yes. I use spell check and it's known as Grammarly. It not only corrects spelling, but the spell checker does also punctuation & grammar.

If a person is operating a device other than a PC spellcheck is a bane.

Then there is the operational conflict between code programs that cause communication errors amongst the not so smart phones that need to be dealt with in the next few years.

For instance.
Even if a person proof reads before posting on a server/servor forum.
Their post will be altered after theyve submitted material while definitions change.
And then further editing ensues.
ser·vo1

Blessings Always
