Who watched the Vice Presidential Debate last night?

My husband and I watched 40 minutes and by that time we got fed up with the lack of actually answering the questions posed to the two and went to bed. It wasn't worth our time for them to just talk about what they wanted to talk about. We learned nothing new.

I did notice when Harris was asked about the Green New Deal that she supports she didn't even mention it. I watched very little of it as I have already voted absentee

I was really interested in hearing what she had to say about it too. To me it made it seem like she didn't know the answer to the question...that and other questions too, because she would just say whatever she wanted and not address the actual question.

I can understand when saying one thing brings you to another point, but the point of the debate is to bring forth your response so that others can understand (not necessarily be swayed by it).

This one clearly went to the Republican. But nothing new was revealed.

It was a civil debate at least but I agree that both had a hard time staying on topic. As a completely unbiased observer from We The North it was a close run debate but I give it to Harris by 52-48.

Questions Pence SHOULD have asked (but didn't)...

1. "Some weeks ago, when you were running for the nomination of your party, you said that Biden's votes and views were racist and that YOU, PERSONALLY, suffered from his racist views and votes. Were you wrong about his racist views then or are you wrong about them now?

2. "At the confirmation hearings recently for a Supreme Court judge, you stated that we must not vote for a man accused of inappropriate behavior with women 50 years ago. But now you are encouraging people to vote for a man so accused over and over again, by dozens of women, of inappropriate actions as recently as last year. Which is it, Senator, is it wrong to vote for such a man as you stressed at the Confirmation hearing or is it right to vote for such a man as you are claiming now? Which is it?"

1. She wasn't necessarily wrong either time, maybe she's just willing to sell out her principles for a seat at the top table. She wouldn't be the first politician to do such a thing.

2. It's wrong to vote for a Republican who is accused. When a Democrat is accused all it takes is one person to say "I believe Joe" and then all anyone else needs is #MeToo
