There is a difference in the preaching of Peter and Paul in regards to the resurrection and salvation.

The resurrection:

The twelve preached Jesus raised from the dead to sit upon the throne of David (Acts 2:30).

Paul preached that Jesus was raised for our justification unto eternal life (Romans 4:25).

Salvation:

The twelve preached the forgiveness of sin and salvation for the believing nation of Israel at the coming of Christ (Acts 3:19 1 Peter 1:5 1 Peter 1:7).

Paul preached salvation now by faith in the shed blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:8).

After about 300 years the early Jerusalem church of the apostles was virtually extinct. That extinction was aided and abetted by the church of Paul from which modern Christianity has descended. I think we lost a great deal in this process.

Israel has only been temporarily set aside. At the coming of Christ, Israel will be restored, and in the earthly kingdom they will teach all Jesus commanded them (Matthew 28:19-20) and will be a blessing to the Gentile nations to bring them to God.

I think you have misunderstood Peter’s message in Acts 2. You may want to reread it more carefully.
