The Nature of God According to Jesus Christ and Learn to Follow the Teachings of Christ to Love, Forgive, be Humble, Relate to God on Our Own, Seek for Knowledge, and Grow Spiritually

According to Roberta Grimes, Jesus taught us about the nature of God, the importance of love, the importance of forgiveness, the need for humility, our afterlife, our powerful minds, and that He did not mean to start Christianity as a religion.

In fact, He came to abolish religions, to teach us how to relate to God on our own, to be seekers, and most importantly, how to follow His teachings and grow spiritually, as spiritual growth is the only wealth.

The Nature of God According to Jesus Christ

God is an infinitely powerful Spirit.

Jesus says, “God is Spirit.” (John 4:24). “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63).

The book Thiaoouba Prophecy also writes, "The Spirit was, and is, infinitely powerful - powerful beyond the comprehension of any human mind," and that "the Spirit was thus, is still, and always will be, at the centre of the Universe for he is the Master and Creator of it..."

Each one of us embodies a tiny part of the Spirit in our physical body, as God seeks spiritual experiences through a material world.

Jesus says, “... the Spirit of truth ... dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:17). He also said, “the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). Therefore, each of us contains a part of the Spirit, and our mind is inextricably part of the Mind of God.

The book Thiaoouba Prophecy further explains, "the creator sought spiritual experiences through a material world" and that "in order to have these experiences, he wanted to embody a tiny part of his Spirit in a physical entity. It ‘inserted’ thus, an infinitesimal part of the Spirit in the human body."

Therefore, when we die, our spirit separates from our physical body, does a "life review" with a higher spirit, and then decide whether to be "inserted" into another physical body again. In other religions or beliefs, it is sometimes called reincarnation. It thus makes more sense when Jesus says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” When asked, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:3-8)

God does not judge us, as we are our own judges.

Jesus says, “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son” (John 5:22). “You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.” (John 8:15). And then, “And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.” (John 12:47). And finally, “For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Matthew 7:2).

Thus, Jesus tells us that each of us will be our own judge. Although He does not tell us when we will judge ourselves, overwhelming evidence from testimonies of the dead indicate that there is a "life review" process right after we die. We review everything that has happened in our life time since birth until the moment that we die, and sometimes we either regret or appreciate the things we did when we were alive in our physical body. In fact, in the book "Thiaoouba Prophecy," with the assistance of his hosts, Michel Desmarquet, the author, was shown glances of his previous lifetimes, some of which he was extremely satisfied (when he made justified decisions as the ruler of a country), others he was somewhat regretful (when he accidentally caused the death of his wife.) Phil Quinn, on the other hand, is a medium that can communicate with the dead. He tells us that frequently the dead will feel regretful about not giving more love to their families members, and feel satisfied when they helped people in need, especially strangers, and especially so when they did so anonymously.

The Importance of Love

According to the book "Thiaoouba Prophecy", Jesus was sent to earth to preach love and spirituality. Indeed, Jesus says, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” (John 13:34) Indeed, we must love one another, because we are have an infinitesimal part of the same God, or Spirit. Jesus further emphasizes, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40) Yes, we must love our neighbors as ourselves, because we are all part of God, or the same Spirit.

To be perfect, we must love perfectly, and to love everyone perfectly and unconditionally, even for the most unlovable. Why? Jesus explains, “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.” (Luke 6:32) As Roberta Grimes writes, everything that happens in our lives is “either love or a call for love.” So no matter the question, love is always the answer.

The book Thiaoouba Prophecy echoes. It writes, "violence does not pay, and never will. The solution lies, rather, in love and the cultivation of minds." When referring to the problems that we face on earth, it tells us, "the solution depends on love - not money. It requires that people rise above hate, resentment, jealousy and envy, and that each person, whether he be street sweeper or community leader, put his neighbor before himself, offering his hand to whoever needs it." Phil Quinn often shares on Youtube the stories of the messages he received from the dead regarding how they should have loved and cared more about the people around them when they were alive.

Love your enemies

When we love everyone perfectly and unconditionally, we must also love our enemies. Jesus says, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:43-48)

As if it was not emphasized enough, Jesus also illustrates how to love our enemies. “... I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.” (Matthew 5:39-41).

Jesus explains further, “... Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. ... If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.” (Luke 6:27-36).

The Importance of Forgiveness

When asked how many times we must forgive, Jesus says, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."(Matthew 18:22) Here, Jesus is saying we must forgive others an infinite number of times. We must forgive our friends, our acquaintances, and our enemies. We must love them. We must learn to practice unconditional love and forgiveness.

It is also important to forgive and reconcile sooner than later. Messages from people who are dead frequently tell us that they regret not forgiving or reconciling with others while they were alive. Jesus tells the same. He says, "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." (Matthew 5:23-24)
When we forgive others, we forgive ourselves. Because God does not judge us and that we will be our own judge after we pass away, we will forgive ourselves when we forgive others. Self-forgiveness is important, and we can do so through forgiving others.

The Need for Humility

Jesus, through His teachings, alludes that our life-status does not count after death. He says, “... he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Matthew 23:11-12) “... many who are first will be last, and the last first.” (Mark 10:31)

Michel Desmarquet, the author of Thiaoouba Prophecy, revisited his past lives. He writes, "Twice I was a beggar, and three times a sailor. I was a water carrier in India, a goldsmith in Japan where I lived till ninety-five years of age; a Roman soldier; a black child at Chad devoured by a lion at the age of eight years; an Indian fisherman on the Amazon, dead at forty-two years leaving twelve children; an Apache chief dead at eighty-six years; several times a peasant farmer, on Earth as well as on other planets; and twice an ascetic in the mountains of Tibet and on another planet. Apart from when I was Labinola, ruling Queen of one-third of a planet, most of my lives were very modest."

His host explains, "We wanted to show you your past lives, that you might notice they vary, as though they were attached to a wheel. Because a wheel is made to turn, any point on it that is on top will soon be at the bottom - it is inevitable...

"One day you are a beggar and then you can be a Queen, such as Labinola who, of course, was not only at the top of the wheel but also learned a lot and greatly helped others. And yet, in many cases, a beggar will learn as much as a king and in some instances he will learn much more.

"When you were an ascetic in the mountains, you assisted many more individuals than in most of your other lives. What counts most is not appearances,
but what is behind them."

The lesson here seems to be that we must be humble, help and love others, focusing not on appearances but what is behind them.

Our Minds Are Powerful

Jesus teaches us that the power of our minds can affect reality. For example, when Peter couldn’t walk on water, He says, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matthew 14:31) He also teaches us to have faith in God. As Jesus said, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:23-24)

In Thiaoouba Prophecy, the author Michel Desmarquet was shown by his hosts that they could levitate, heal, move objects, cause hallucinations, or even become invisible, all using their mind, sometimes with intense concentration.

One of the central themes of "Conversations with God" is that we create our own reality. Our minds therefore have tremendous power, if only we believe we have that power and concentrate on it. Praying in gratitude helps because they are affirmations of the reality we wish to create. Praying together strengthens the power of the mind. This is perhaps why Jesus says "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. " (Matthew 18:19)

Jesus Christ Did Not Mean to Start Christianity as a Religion. In Fact, He Came to Abolish Religions

First, saying that He does not have a high opinion of clergymen is a understatement. He says, “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.” (Mark 12:38-40) To the clergymen, he says, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? ...Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” (Matthew 15:3-9). And, “... woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.” (Matthew 23:13).

Therefore, Roberta Grimes believes that far from trying to establish a religion, the focus of Jesus’s Gospel ministry seems to have been upon freeing us from religious dogmas and encouraging us to approach God individually:

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. ... A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:15-20).

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. ” (Luke 11:9-10)
Relate to God on Our Own

Jesus teaches us how to relate to God on our own, and to begin a one-on-one relationship. He says, “... when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” (Matthew 6:5-6) for “the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21)

The book Thiaoouba Prophecy concurs. It tells us that when we communicate with our higher-self, we "do not need to go to a special place, for the greatest and most beautiful temple of man is inside himself."

Be Seekers of Spiritual Knowledge

Jesus encourages us to be a seeker. He wants us to keep seeking more knowledge as we become better able to comprehend it. He says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8). He also says, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32).

The book Thiaoouba Prophecy warns us that currently we are only focused on material knowledge and not spiritual knowledge. We should also seek for spiritual knowledge, and technology should assist spiritual development, not confine people, more and more, within a materialistic world, as is happening now. Thiaoouba Prophecy contains material and spiritual knowledge, so is a list of other recommended books.

Have faith, but be a seeker of knowledge, because "faith is never perfect but knowledge is."

Grow Spiritually

Jesus tells us to grow spiritually. He says, “For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” (Matthew 25:29) Here, the verses should be interpreted as "for everyone who has spiritual growth will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have spiritual growth, even what he has (material wealth) will be taken from him.

To grow spiritually, we can also do good deeds in secret. Jesus says, “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly."(Matthew 6:1-4)

Yes, empirical evidence shows that everything will be revealed in the "life review" process after we die. Jesus is right when He says, “For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.” (Luke 8:17-18) People who have near death experience tell us that they see everything (from their birth to the moment they die in holographic films) in their "life review" process after they die and those hidden will be disclosed. Not only will they know and feel everything themselves, they will also know and feel the feelings of those who they interacted with, especially the appreciation when they were helped, or the hurtful feelings when they were hurt.

Spiritual Growth is the only wealth

Jesus tells us that while material wealth does not last, spiritual wealth lasts eternally. He says, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21).

The book "Thiaoouba Prophecy" tells us that man's principal obligation is to develop his spirituality, and it is a Universal Law. Yet, we have neglected the cultivation of our spirituality and, instead, focused on the material world.

I did a search through the article and not once do you mention the cross or resurrection. If you talk about Jesus, how can you not talk about the cross where He died for our forgiveness of sins and His resurrection?

This is not Christian teaching. Reincarnation like this is not biblical and is another religion.

I think you have some good thoughts, but you there are blatant statements that go against scripture as well as others have already pointed out. It almost sounds like a mix between Buddhist thought, New Age thought and a few scriptures thrown into the mix.

Thanks for the comments. I was inspired by the Youtube videos of Roberta Grimes, a business attorney (lawyer) in the United States. She has some very interesting studies (including Early Christian History, etc.). Anyone heard of her? (You can do a search of her name on Youtube),

She denies the Trinity. People who deny the Trinity deny the truth about Jesus. That leads to them declaring a different type of gospel than the one the bible states which is salvation by grace through faith in Jesus the Christ who died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
