Most pets are probably enjoying having owners around more during the lock down. Except for cats. Cats are probably planning their owner's deaths.

How will the pets react once the owners return to their jobs full time? I know my daughter's guinea pig will throw a fit in her cage and toss her food bowl. She's enjoying getting the fresh veggies all day long.

I basically work from home anyway, so I don't know that it will be a huge change. Our cat Bear has been enjoying going outside more lately and it will be an adjustment for him as I usually have to go get him and bring him inside at night

My wife and I are home most of the time anyway so I don't think our cat has even noticed the difference. Except that he's currently asleep on my wife's lap, during the time we'd normally be at church.

Oh, my poor Wilbur!! I go out with the ex for a couple of hours at a time now, and the dog has a major hissy fit at me when I get home! You'd think he hadn't seen me in a week! Oh, dear, I hate to think what he's going to do when I start back at the office again. He eats kleenex when I'm not around, so I suspect I'll have to remember to put the kleenex box on the kitchen counter or table, otherwise he will end up with messed up innards. :(

Our cat can be like that if he's left alone, although usually what he really hates is when he can hear one of us but not get to us. If I'm doing dusty or noisy work on the house I shut him downstairs, and he doesn't like knowing I'm upstairs but inaccessible. Likewise if I'm working my power tools in the basement he sits at the door to the basement stairs and whines.

Obviously I can't let him be where I am when I'm working because the last thing I need is to trip over a cat when I'm working power tools.
