When do you normally start your Christmas shopping?

When my daughter was younger I would start in September when the local toy store had its annual clearance event. I got tons of things so cheap!!

But now I wait until the end of November really to begin. I hate it when relatives don't give me their lists until the middle of December. Um. Really?

some stores already have Christmas decorations for sale in September. Way too early. My wife does like 95% of the shopping and I usually just get her a gift the week of Christmas. Or she gets what she wants and says that it is my gift to her. She is a hard person to shop for and I hate shopping anyway.

I like to pretend that it isn't Christmas ... I like the Advent season and I like the Christmas season but the commercial side of things isn't high on my list; I get cards for friends and presents for family (nothing grand or expensive).

That wouldn't be a fair thing to say at all. Most of us don't start that early
