The version I grew up with asked "how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" Aside from being a curious riddle it made little sense, since we don't get woodchucks in England
A similar one is "what noise annoys an oyster?"
The answer - obviously - "a noisy noise annoys an oyster"
