My daughter's guinea pig rarely sleeps soundly but there have been a couple of times where we walk near her and she doesn't wake up right away like she normally does and we think she died! She's okay though.
This past weekend I was relaxing in the in-law's home while everyone else was off swimming at the pool at the clubhouse and their dog slept beside my chair. I noticed he started jerking his legs and his head and at first it looked as if he was running gently in a dream but then it got really spastic and I was worried he was having a seizure. I tried to wake him up and shook his body and tried lifting his head but nothing worked! So I just kept talking quietly to him and petting his side so either way he would be comforted. The family, when they returned, said it's been ages since he slept that soundly but he's never had seizures so it was just a wild dream. It scared me though that the dog would die the weekend of the wedding!
Does your pet sleep soundly?
