The core values of the Democratic Party are life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, justice, equality, diversity, truth, popular sovereignty, patriotism, and the rule of law.
These are the historical values that the Party was designed to address.

Taxation is not a bad thing! After all, tax money is used for infrastructure, schools, roads, and salaries of our military!
If there was zero tax we would be deficit spending all the time! That creates more debt not less!!
Those may have been the core values at one time, they are not the values of the Democratic party today. I also never said to get rid of taxes. Nothing drives businesses out of states and eventually the country faster then tax hikes and over-regulation.

What tax ‘hikes’ are you talking about? The corporate tax rates are the lowest in decades!! Corporations are making more money and paying less tax than ever in the history of the market

Life, unless you're waiting to be born.
Liberty, unless you want to own a gun or act on your belief that gay marriage is sinful.
Equality, unless you're a woman who doesn't want an individual with a beard and a penis walking in to your changing room saying they are female.
Diversity, unless you are a white man.
Truth. Let's not pretend any politicians of any persuasion are big on truthfulness.
Patriotism, unless you're an American (or even a legal immigrant) who doesn't want to be overrun with illegal immigrants.
Rule of law, unless you dislike ICE and declare a sanctuary city where the laws aren't enforced.

Taxation can be used for many good things. It can also be used to promote an awful lot of waste and dependency. You know the old adage about giving a man a fish and teaching a man to fish. If there was zero tax the tax take would be zero. What do you think would happen if the tax rate went to 100% - do you think people would bother to work for the dubious privilege of handing over every penny and hoping the government would look after them? It's not as simple as "tax good" or "tax bad", so much depends on what is done with it.

And do you really think Democrats are responsible for that? Should the Democrats win in 2020 here is their tax plan.

Tell me where you see any kind of reduction in taxes.

Prove it. All anyone has seen from you is useless emotion. Plus, Presidents don't control how money is spent, that's the job of Congress. Presidents have input, but they can't spend one dollar unless it is approved by Congress.

There are no ‘unless’ conditions placed on the Democratic Party so why did you place them there!??

Stop talking for tango because that tends to conflate issues

I'm not talking for Tango. I didn't place an "unless condition" on the Democrat party. Let's try this again. The President of the United States, regardless of political party, can't spend a single dollar without Congressional approval.

It goes up and down. Do you have any information on which party's President was in office at the time of these fluctuations? Does this graph represent federal taxes or state taxes?

Percentage wise the Republicans raised the debt more than the Democrats plus the deficit increased during Republican Presidencies.
Explain that.

https://www.statedatalab.org/chart_of_the_week/fcdetail/growth-in-the-national-debt-by-president

Check it out
This has been explained to you. Congress decides how much money is spent and on what. Congress holds the purse strings. The president can't spend one dollar without Congressional approval. So when the national debt shot up 189 billion under Ronald Reagan, look who was controlling Congress. It wasn't Republicans.

Congress has the power of the Purse yes I know. However no money can be appropriated without the signature of the President, unless there is a veto proof majority who vote! Then Congress can override a presidential veto.

The years are mentioned on the chart. You should be able to ascertain who was President and when.

I'm reading these replies on a phone, so it's really hard to see the dates.
