Does anyone own a weighted blanket? [MENTION=56]ValleyGal[/MENTION] brought it up in another thread and my sister and I talked about them last year.

If you own one did you find one that stays cool when it's hot out?

I read there are different weights for different people (according to their weight or size?). Did that make a difference?

How about washing them? On Amazon some users complained about the small beads breaking out of the fabric in the wash.

I wanted to get one for my mom, her and I are weird because we like to have our blanket with us on the couch :) it has nothing to do with temperature but for security type comfort I guess lol
If anyone knows of a good one let me know

Well I get cold so I like having a blanket while watching TV :D I also like the feel of a heavy comforter in the fall, winter and spring. It's summertime that I have to stick with a lighter quilt and it takes a few weeks to adjust to that lighter weight on top of me.

I never had a blanket with a weight in it. I did once text my wife on April 1 and asked her to go to the hardware store for a long weight. Does that count?
