...I am a bit hung over. I got into a bottle of wine last night. lol

Wine is the worst about that for me. If I drink liquor, I have no hangover, and beer will give me a mild hangover, but wine will make me repentant the next day. :)

After drinking about 3 glasses of water I don't feel as bad now. But I want to drink about a gallon of water now. lol

I just took a picture of my birds, Danny and Bailey. Danny is the blue one and Bailey is the yellow one:

Red wine is usually the worst for hangovers. I used to think that was because of all the assorted aromatics that gave it the color and flavor intensity but subsequently heard that an additive is the worst offender. I think the problem is the sulfites they put into a lot of wine. In order to test the theory it may be necessary to experiment with wine of a sufficient quality that it doesn't have all the sulfites in it. For research purposes only, you understand :)

On a more serious note it's been a long time since I had much of a hangover simply because I don't usually drink a whole lot. Beer tended to give me the most hangovers although that was because back in the days when I did drink more copiously than I do now beer was my tipple of choice. One thing I found interesting was the way some drinks had a greater or lesser effect than others - I always used to find that whisky had very little effect on me while even a small amount of vodka had far more effect.

Buy some Catholic communion wine because it is not permitted to add sulphites to it; the idea is to have naturally fermented wine with no additives.

I didn't know that. What's the problem with adding sulfites to the wine?

If it tastes good I'll certainly keep it in mind. I must admit I'm rather partial to a really heavy red wine.

The wine is to be a natural product made by human beings; the words spoken in the mass are "fruit of the vine and work of human hands ... it will become our spiritual drink". And tradition indicates that the Lord had naturally fermented wine at the last supper.

How was your day Bill? Mine was okay and uneventful. I drank a lot of water and even took a long nap. When I looked at my clock on the wall I thought gee it is getting dark really early now. Then shortly after that I realized my clock had stopped. Time to get a new battery for it. Batteries are expensive, aren't they?

If you use rechargeable batteries they work out cheaper, especially if you go through a lot of them. I use them in my assorted electronic gadgetry. I think I've got something like 16 AA and 8 AAA batteries that are rechargeable. I must have saved a fortune over the years I've been using them.

Batteries are also pretty cheap on ebay.

Of course where clocks are concerned you could get a mechanical clock. Then you just have to wind it, no batteries needed.
