The last decade or so has certainly seen GM step up its flagship car to become a world class supercar, but this will definitely be the biggest leap forward yet. I can't wait to hear the performance numbers once production gets underway.

Are you SURE? Rumors of a mid-engine 'Vette have been around since the late 1960's.... several such show cars have been rolled out for nearly 50 years.... but the production car never seems to materialize.

And the 'Vette was just re-done. Historically, 'Vettes go 5 to 15 years before being redone, because of the very low production levels, it takes a LONG time to recoup the R&D on them - and this would be a enormous case of R&D.

I have a Mazda Miata. MUCH less money.... MUCH more fun than any 'Vette. More reliable, too.

Considering what you're getting, it's actually a bargain. :)

Only time will tell, I guess.

You and I have vastly different ideas about what constitutes automotive fun. :) I have had my current Z06 for 9 years now and no problems at all.

I like how sleek it looks except for the tires. They look like bicycle tires to me LOL
