On the videos, They Sold Their Souls for Rock and Roll (found for free on YouTube) - it's been said, and with a lot of solid evidence, that so many rock stars were into the occult, and the authors of video believe the occult influenced the music - which was in the bigger scheme, a satanic scheme.

OK, I'm confused on whether I totally agree with this. I mean, with all the cultural right people crying over "fallen moral values" is the fact that in the "good old days" so many people abused their power. I mean, identity politics didn't arise out of nowhere!

I had the DVD set, I bought the 3 hour version again, he drastically changed my view of the world about 10 years ago. I ran across the Pastors website years ago and emailed him because I disagreed on his views of a particular artist, he e-mailed me back and asked if he could send some dvds to my address, I okayed it. When it came in Ignored it for months and then one day I popped it in and I was blown away. They brag about they occult and most of the evidents come from the artist own mouth, some still I believe he took a bit out of context but over all it's very compelling.

We all know that music stirs the soul and moves people and that can be good as in prqaise music or bad as in the kind that has satanic influences. Yes music is a powerful medium that can be used for good or evil

Yeah, but abuse of the "good ole days" was just as bad. You had segregation, lynching, wife beating etc.. If anything, this would open the door for Satan - whose seen - in-cognito via anti-Christian movements - as providing love and acceptance.

lol... you have to admit tho that The Beatles and Aliester Crowley segment and 60s New Age propaganda holds much truth to this day, most of the other stuff is kinda 'meh' but over all it's well put together

I've not seen the film. Who/what bands do they identify as part of this conspiracy? It's a bit of a leading question that I'll explain as we go

Edit - okay, I'm only two minutes into watching and I'm more worried about the film-makers than any influence the music might have on me. To quote a co-worker of mine "that's just bizzar-o, man..." :D

Okay, 20 minutes and I can't watch any more. Can someone fill me in?

Well, artistic types are not the greatest fans of cultural conservatism. I mean, these people are often outcasts in schools, maybe bullied. Why would we expect them to like church?

However, though, given the reality of the demonic world, as the Bible claims, wouldn't these artists be good puppets (channels)?

I'm very artistic...and was bullied in school...and I like church. I guess I'm not like the others?

I wrote some very disturbing lyrics when I was younger, still not sure where the inspiration came from, probably the music I was listening to then. The very word 'Muse' has an interesting meaning

Well, considering two members of Megadeth are Christians and the lead singer of Slayer is Catholic, maybe we need to re-examine our biases. Meanwhile, the lyricist for one of the most successful bands in the world (Rush) uses his lyrics as an Atheist platform.

He (the lead singer of Rush) is justified to be cynical. His parents were Holocaust survivors.

Yep! Kurt Cobain as a young adult went by himself to get baptised at a local baptist church way before he got famous, many artist also repent even after the fact.

I'm speaking of Neal. And he also has right to be cynical - I don't blame him. His wife and daughter died unexpectedly a year apart. However, his atheist predilections were present long before. I do respect his honesty about such things, though. I may not agree with him, but the forthrightness of certain things he's penned has earned him respect. He doesn't come across as militant or hateful, just honest. But as far as this thread, the videographers in the OP have their sights quite off target. I could post (but won't) things much worse than Miley Cyrus or Madonna, or whomever they believe is so evil.
