I was reminded by my daughter's boyfriend that spring break is starting in the college town where he lives.

What were some of your crazy spring breaks like? I never really did anything and couldn't afford to go anywhere.

The college I went to was an hour away from home, so I probably went home and saw my friends there. To be honest, I really don't remember. It was a long time ago

I never traveled much until I got with my wife. She’s great about scheduling around spring break. In fact whenever we go to a resort we try to get a room where they house the families with kids. The ‘partier’ side tends to have breakouts of disturbances.

... I don't remember for a different reason...

J/K Actually, in my college days, I was WAY too "adult" to participate in such. Looking back, I regret my premature "adulthood" just a bit...

I went on one Spring Break trip with my college chapter of Campus Crusade for Christ (Now titled CRU). We went to Daytona Beach during bike week. Every biker gang you could imagine was there alongside us in the high-rise hotels along the beach. I saw the evil side of drugs and drinking while others laughed at the debauchery. I also saw a young woman from Ireland (Marie) come to saving faith as God opened her heart to her need for reconciliation. One never knows where and how God will choose to make a person alive with Christ.
What a blessing to walk the beach and share our faith.
One thing we did to draw a crowd was to do a skit we called "Slow Motion Football." We would run a play with an offense and defense in the beach. Then we would rewind it and run it in slow motion where all types of silly things would happen that never took place in the first run. It got a crowd and got kids laughing.
