I think once the issue is sorted out, then we can try come kind of campaign to get everyone back. Romanos tried that with a mass email, but unfortunately the issues weren't resolved yet. There was no way he could have known that though, and he was doing what a good admin does and wanted to let everyone know that he thought it was fixed.
It's understandable though that users get frustrated when error messages greet them when they try to log on. Hopefully once we are (virtually) certain the issue is fixed, folks will be understanding that these things can happen and that every effort was made to fix it, and they will return to posting.
vBorg is populated with accounts of good site owners being plagued by hackers, and all of their data deleted, and having to use a backup, which even with dligent backups, means some posts are lost forever. Luckily our issue isn't as serious as that.
It is amazing how much work goes into running a site, and Romanos has truly had his hands full with trying to get the arcade running correctly for everyone, and then dealing with hosting issues on top of that. Unless you have access to the back-end here, you really can't see how much time and effort Romanos has put into making this site feature rich and fulfilling the expectations of our users. So, (and I say this for the benefit of everyone) rest assured that he is diligent and working to get everything running smoothly.
