Can you give an example so I can understand better? The biggest issue is that the gospel has been supplanted by moralistic therapeutic diesm.

Thank you for making that more clear to me.Sure. Too many topical sermons. Six Ways for a better marriage. 5 ways for better kids. Nine ways for financial security. Etc. Ways to be better and healthier (moralistic and therapeutic) with God's help, of course (deism).
Too many churches have gotten away from the gospel, Christ and Him crucified. That's all Paul preached and wrote about. Everything he believed came from that.

I remember why I stopped going to church. Too much guilt after the service. The biggest issue is when churches fail to properly distinguish between Law and Gospel. Some think they're preaching the Gospel when it's only Law, which leaves the congregation starving. Some preach only Gospel and not enough law so they don't feel accused for their sins.
The Gospel is only God's doing for our salvation (100%)
The Law is what WE are to do and not do.
Guilt is just an indicator. It is not how it makes you feel but what you do with it Ruth. Forgiving ourselves can be hard but in the end it is worth it all and we know that iif we ask forgiveness Jesus forgives us. Just try to let it go, I have trouble with this as well.

I just want you to be happy Ruth. Sorry if I overstepped but these are some of my battles as well
I can relate perfectly Ruth, I have been battling things like that all my life
