I have made a new friend. We met on a dating site and we are going out on Friday. I talked to him a long time on the phone tonight and know he is okay.

Congratulations, Ruth! My youngest sister met her husband on a Christian dating site, and they are very happy and he is without a doubt the right man for her. He and I get along very well too, and I am quite proud to call him my brother.

I know you're all grown up and all, but please be careful too...I will advise you like I did my sister (because I care)...I told my sister to please only meet in very public places the first couple of dates at least. After she had had a couple of dates with him and knew she wanted to continue dating him, I insisted on meeting him to get a feel for the kind of guy he is. I guess I am kind of old-fashioned that way...but my sister knew I was just looking out for her, and so did he and he appreciated that.

thats wonderful ruth. i hope that your outing went well? missed CH today as i wasnt online all day. the temps here were once again in mid 100's..im talking death valley records lol.

I'm sorry you are suffering from that heat MS. Sounds awful. I would not want to go out if we had those temps. I haven't met my friend yet, it is on Friday this week.

good ol ruth hun. iam just glad iam not living in the valley where today it got up to 105. ive got the fan on now. wondering if too much heat can affect behavior in birds?

I don't think the heat effects the birds too much. I don't know which ones you are talking about though.

Mine don't mind the heat but I put the AC on when it's hot so they stay cool. How are you doing tonight?

so far so good. i feel kind of bloated after having a large meal.. a strange one at that! popcorn, cereal, bagel and 2 cups of dr pepper plus roasted peanuts. what i do is, i get up from time to time and exercise. iam not sedentary when iam online.

Oh, I would like some roasted peanuts. I also have a taste for a hot fudge sundae. Thinking of going to McDonalds. It's getting late, though.

i love peanuts so much, i eat them 3 times a day. i buy the 2 LB container! cocktail and honey roasted are my faves. planters, number one brand. i also like target brand too
