I remember seeing my first electronic calculator. It was basic four function plus square and cube roots. It was the size of a big city telephone book and cost $4000 in 1965 dollars. Today the same calculator is the size of a credit card and is a give away. BTW I remember crank type wall phones.

I remember when I was a child I had a good friend whose dad owned an Esso station and many times people would pull in and get a dollars woth of gas of course back then it was around 33 cents a gallon

Oh how I wish it still was 10.00 to fill the tank or less. I paid 27.00 today to fill my tank

Be thankful you don't live in the UK. Gas prices there work out a little over $6.50 per US gallon. Your $27 would get your about four US gallons at a UK gas station.

I like getting grocery store gas rewards because what was originally $2.79 a gallon could potentially be $1.39 a gallon
