Got ya, brother...
Not being christians makes all the diff in the world.
Yes totally diff situation.
And yes, i guess i really took a more narrow view in my reply than what you were saying in the OP.
I was really zeroing in on
A: Christian (or at least Professing christians)
B: Relationship, as in Male/Female Bf/Gf ... or Husband/Wife .... Christian relationship.

That's where Im talking about hearing about/experiencing deceit, dishonesty, being tossed about almost non-chalantly these days that is heartbreaking and shouldnt be in a christians' walk.
I'm amazed how much Hebrews13:1 can apply in so many diff situations that arise.

And elsewhere it says that ppl would say 'See the love they have for one another'.

Last I checked, dishonesty, deceit, rejection and excommunication didnt fit with that.

But outside of being saved?
No, youre right, you cant really expect biblical exhortations on those things to be heeded by unbelievers, even though they could/should be principals for all of us.

God gives us things that apply to help us, bc He cares for us and knows whats best for us...not to make us miserable.
I think alot of times we bring misery when we try to do it our way instead if trusting Him.
Im guilty of it sometimes (SOMEtimes? lol).... But when you see the success rate, its like ... No thanks, best to go with Proverbs3:5-6. Good going.
Yep. I used to think its just how the world works, not being able to trust eachother, and its true about the world. When I got saved everything changed, and my oh my how sickening I see things even more so with new eyes, everyone here (where i live) cheats on each other and lies and complains and are not happy :( like seriously the sermon on the mound makes wonderful sense but to unbelievers its 'impossible' 'unrealistic' 'punishment' etc...
I never stood for cheaters, my mom cheated on my dad and he almost killed the guy, my dad would be in prison and who knows where my mom wound end up or what I would become... Christian morals keeps lives from being destroyed and I just absolutely love Jesus sermon he actually explains how these moral values make sense even today

Honestly, some of you folks need to take a "Writing for the Web" class. I've read shorter books than some of the posts in this thread.
Too blunt?

Meh, I'd rather say what I want to say even if it does mean a longer post. Someone disinclined to read a few paragraphs may be better suited to Twitter than an internet forum.

Right. I skim for a topic sentence. If I don't see one I go to the next paragraph. If I sense rambling, I stop reading and either move on or call for a clear and succinct post.

Sometimes a long post is just daunting. Other times there's enough to be said that a couple of sentences just doesn't cut it.

I blame the faceache/twitmyface sites for trashing peoples' attention spans. It's hard to have a meaningful discussion online with little more than a couple of sentences at a time.

When the great majority of your posts (nearly all) are ignored, no matter the length, and the few that might get a comment are nearly all negative retorts, almost no friendly conversation, what diff does it really make anyway?

Buck up young one. No one listened to the prophets. Just share truth and let the chips fall where they may.

Lol, I aint been called young in a time or two ... thx.
But, either way, is there some sort of reason why ppl would be willing to engage in discussion/debate, friendly banter or heated arguements with just about everybody else here...back and forth, give and take, point/counterpoint, but are unwilling to discuss anything at length with me?

I mean, seriously, ... I get stepped right over in the middle of dialogues so much I feel like the guy at the Siloam Pool. Or I get a quick quip, usually really negative, or a personal insult ... But its mostly been the cold-shoulder. (Not from all, so thx for those who do engage).

And yet, Ive tried diff approaches ... And my main motive is to lift up Jesus, see ppl get saved, pray praise and grow in the Lord and see this place used for Him to get the glory, and that can even happen even though we might be debating sometimes, if the aim is truth, not just scoring notches in the belt.

But ostracizing and non-communication wont help anybody, and is something I never find Jesus or the Apostles doing in scripture.

Wait, what!? Are we not having a discussion here? Haters gonna hate, old timer! Buck up and just post what you feel like posting. If no one responds who cares?
If a Snerfle falls in the forest and no one is there does it make a sound?

Btw, talked to an old friend today, we shared about RC Sproul, God bless him, and then he told me about J Gresham Machen, who was accused of not being christian bc he wasnt 'nice' sometimes. He said J gave it back to em...since when were we called to be nice? Lol. Even the devil can be 'nice', we're called to preach the gospel of the grace of God, that's pretty nice.

Of course, we should be nice to each other as believers. But when the gospel is being maligned, sometimes you gotta speak up to expose false doctrine, for the benefit of others, and it doesnt always come across as nice.

Are you convicted of sin by the conscience when you commit such?

Depends. Most of the time yes. With the Gestapo I saw no other way.
I did say sorry to God but don't really feel guilty.

If your conscience isn't defiled or worse; seared, then no guilt/ sorrow/ shame, then no sin in my opinion.

The law of God defines sin, not our conscience. In Christ there is no condemnation. Without Christ we stand condemned. When those who are in Christ sin, we can go to God, confess our sins and God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.

I'm pretty sure all who ever lived whatsoever will be judged by Christ.

Judged by God the Father. Not condemned by Christ's substitutional atonement. "There is NOW therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
Revelation 20:11-15
[11]And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide.
[12]I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.
[13]The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.
[14]Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death.
[15]And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
