My Thankful Thread

First, for salvation. For saving even a wretch like me, thank you, Jesus!

There's a whole lot more, but I'm heading to do laundry.

I'm thankful for MANY....

I don't want to list names - because then it might seem that I'm not thankful for those I don't list.....

I'm especially thankful for the lay theologians here.... those who thoughtfully affirm my pov but even more those who don't and who teach me things or perspectives I didn't know or understand (it's how I learn). We have a LOT of thoughtful, informed, articulate theologians (some better than a few clergy I've encountered, lol). I really appreciate the good theological and biblical discussions that happen here!!!!

But I'm thankful for the whole community, including some active posters I rarely encounter (some have very different interests and desires than I do) because together, they make this a very good place to visit and hang out. The atmosphere here is just SO much more inviting and welcoming and just plain nice than other sites. There are people here I hardly ever encounter.... some I hardly ever agree with (lol).... but I rejoice they are here, and I appreciate the kindness and respect and embrace they extend to me and to all.

I've been way too active at at least a dozen sites like this since I was about 10 years ago. This is the best. And that's because of the people here.

Today I'm thankful for DHoffmann and Confessional Lutheran. These are two of our newer members but have contributed greatly here at the site with thought provoking threads and posts!

Today I'm thankful for Stravinsk and faramir.pete.
[MENTION=216]Stravinsk[/MENTION] who joined upon my request toward the beginning of CH's start up and initially balked but caved in and helped us to grow with his threads and posts. He joined when others I asked refused so that tells you right there he's a nice guy. [MENTION=371]faramir.pete[/MENTION] who is from the UK so you know he's a cool guy! He responds with respect and gives good insight which needs to be brought up at times.
