Loving your neighbors has little to do with liking or loving them as individuals, and all to do with loving GOD. If you don't love GOD, then how can you love what GOD created?

We've been in the middle of a sermon series the last four weeks about share the love. The pastor talks about there is a rhythm to receiving then sharing God's love. We have to do both. We have to realize and understand how much God loves us. But, it doesn't stop with us. He loves others also just as much. If I am going to reflect that I know God and God is love then I will love others. But, I will only love them with his love.

The truth is that many people are difficult if not impossible to love in our own strength and will. I don't even like myself sometimes much less some other people. People can be lazy, not keeping them promises and selfish. there is a lot not to love. there is a lot not to love about me. Only by walking in His love can I love other people

In Dutch it doesn't say neighbour, but one next to you. Ah they live next to you, maybe that's why they use neighbour. There isn't an English word for naaste. Anyways so just put a bomb in their garden, the only real good Dutch translation doesn't say neighbour.

What does loving my neighbor like myself mean?

Let’s see here, I try to take care of my body. If it’s sick or hurt I try to heal it. I try real hard to heal it. However, if a part goes gangrene, it must be removed before it destroys the rest of the body.

Is your neighbor gangrene? Hopefully not.
