Is this new movie more focused on the life of Luther or the Reformation itself?

I understand, it's both. And it includes some commentaries by theologians - Catholic, Lutheran and also other Protestants.

Luther was declared the Third Most Important Person to have lived 1000 - 2000 AD. And the Reformation is probably among the top 3 significant events in Christian history - so there's good reason for ALL to learn about it, if not for Christian reasons then for history reasons.

TUESDAY, 8:00 PM, PBS

It was GREAT!!!

The DVD is available for $25.00. I think that every church and school (public and private) should buy a copy and SHOW IT.

I liked it but didn't see anything I hadn't already heard before but I think it would be good for all Protestants to known and appreciate their histories. I wish my wife could of watched it. She had to work overtime which she works from home but only caught pieces of it as she was able.

I thought it was really well done. Yeah, I knew most of it (I did learn a few things) but I thought it was balanced and good. I WISH they had done a better job with the "Luther and the Jews" thing.... I WISH they had given more time to the Justification issue.... I think it overplayed the polemic language (because it wasn't just Luther - that was the style of the day).... but all in all, I thought it excellent. And certainly more engaging and entertaining than any other Luther film I've seen. ALL Christians should see it.
