Spiritual death is physical death, since one cannot live in a state of death because its an oxymoron.
Being raised spiritually back to life in incorruptible might not pertain to something that happens to us say -after one is buried into the ground, or at least not just.
Jesus says "i came from the father, and to the father I return" and by his death we receive his spirit for life, as for man alone "from dust you came to dust you return".
The witnesses to the resurrection needed these words of encouragement so they should not fear a "second death" and therefore shall never die.
Its a bit difficult for me to spell it out, i guess my point is this...
King David according to acts is buried and has become bones, the body is temporary and any ego attached is ended with it.
But this does not imply that after the heart stops and our body turns cold that we just fade into eternal darkness, after all how can there be an eternity afterwards if there wasnt one beforehand either? Makes no sense! I strongly believe that we are here to bury our sins here in order to get to heaven, pure, refreshed and new... Like a butterfly

The body is described as a tent. A tent is a temporary physical living space. The tent gets worn down after a while. it gets replaced by what is permanent. For us as believers, our spiritual bodies is what is permanent.

Could you explain what you mean by this? It seems that you're saying that if we eliminate our sins that we'll get to heaven.

If that's the case then I strongly disagree since it's by Jesus' death on the cross for the forgiveness of ALL our sins that gets us to heaven. It's by grace through faith that we trust in that forgiveness...not of ourselves.

Of course through grace and by washing our robes white through the blood of Christ no other way.
I get what you are saying though, sorry it came out that way, we all fall short of the glory of God so its impossible for anyone to do it for themselves agree.
