Maybe I shouldn't read the thread back to forth, Lamm already said what I wanted to say, oh well.

Oh and a man from Canada who prayed for me, they lost their son as a baby and he saw him in a dream years later, working in a garden in heaven. That man was also always working in his garden.

Pedrito wishes to ask, for clarification: Did the man from Canada happen to mention what plants were being grown?

If flowers for instance, where were the vases to be obtained?

If edible plants, who was going to eat them?

Perhaps the Poster could obtain more detail.

Pedrito is also curious to know what types of soil exist in heaven, and on what they actually rest.

It may be that other Readers would like to understand these things as well.

(Maybe also ask how the plants were watered.)

He didn't tell me, but these Chinese beggar orphan kids saw flowers in a vase and they ate all sorts of fruit and the parks were much more beautiful than here. The people that put em in an orphanage hoped not one of these kids would die, because the others would get jealous. It's in Visions behind the veil from Baker.

Indeed, it may well be the quicker slope to death but it is also the quicker slope to be with our Lord. Praise God!

Pedrito finds it amazing, the number of misapprehensions that he has been labouring under for so long.

This is obviously another one.

Pedrito thought that in heaven, people would have spirit bodies. (1 Corinthians 15:42-46)

So he must ask some more clarifying questions.

==============================================================================================

Do the angels put the flowers in the vases, deliver the fruit, and tend the parks?

Do angels eat the fruit too, or just people?

When did the flowers, vases and parks first appear in heaven?

Where does the gravity come from, and is it the same strength as on Earth?

==============================================================================================

(And we still don’t know on what the soil rests, and how deep it is. Can this be where modern believers in a flat Earth get their idea from?

Where are the WC’s located? They must be there somewhere if food is being consumed.

Do the people walk around au naturel?

Hi Pedrito, welcome to my thread.

I don't have answers to your very understandable questions I am afraid, I will leave to those who have triggeredthem, but I do have a question for you: well two actually:

What exactly do you mean by 'spirit bodies'?

And, where did you receive this idea from?

It wasn't natural fruit. It was spiritual. The kids didn't understand it and plucked a lot of it and put it in their pockets to give to those people who took care of them. When they came back they tried to get them out of their pockets, but there was nothing and they were disappointed.
No they're all clothed w white garments.

Here some copy paste from 'Visions behind the veil':

http://www.divinerevelations.info/documents/ha_baker/visions_beyond_the_veil_ha_baker.htm#CHAPTER_4_

the Spirit saith to the Churches, to him that overcometh, to him will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God" (Rev. 2:7). Of the heavenly scene we are also told that "on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life bearing twelve manner of fruits.''30 Hence there is a Paradise in heaven with flowing water and trees of fruit.

This Paradise is a great "park" of surpassing wonder; that is just what the word "Paradise" means. "Paradise" means "Eden." "Eden" means "Paradise." "Eden" is a "park ;" "Paradise" is therefore a "park." Peloubet's Bible Dictionary says of "Paradise," "This is a word of Persian origin, and is used in the Septuagint as the translation of 'Eden.' It means an orchard of pleasure and fruits, a garden, or pleasure ground something like an English park." But this "park" in heaven is only "some thing like" a park on earth, because it is as much greater than earthly parks, in extent and beauty, as God's thoughts are greater than man's thoughts. Man's most beautiful parks, with their picturesque landscapes, their flowing streams, their crystal pools, the wooded nooks, the verdant greens, the fragrant, variegated flowers, the carolling birds, and animal pets, are only imperfect imitations on the part of man to reproduce the Eden that was "in the beginning."

That was a reasonable response. In fact, Pedrito’s questions were not designed to be asked of that Poster in particular.

What exactly do you mean by 'spirit bodies'?

And, where did you receive this idea from?

1 Corinthians 15:42-50, speaking of the Church (emphasis added):
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

John 3:6: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17,18:
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is , there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

==============================================================================================

Heaven is the domicile of God and angelic beings. Was heaven not the origin of evil spirits? Do they have physical bodies?

More could be said, but that's enough for now.

Thank you Pedrito,

So having established that 'spiritual bodies' are spoken of in scripture, how are you interpretting the term? What is spiritual body?

I only ask because in my mind it almost sounds contradictory, you see to me a body is physical and we know that the risen Christ had one of these as he ate and was touched by his disciples, but a spirit is ethereal as in it has no substance and exists in a different dimiension.

So how do you explain the term spiritual bodies?

It is true that Revelation 2:7 states: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

However, Revelation 2:17 states: “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.

The hidden manna refers to the manna placed inside the Ark of the Covenant. No Jew, not even the High Priest, would ever dream of lifting the lid and sampling some. Remember, one person was struck dead for simply touching the Ark, even though he touched it to keep it from falling.

Pedrito finds it hard to picture Christians in Heaven jostling in a queue miles long, waiting to be allowed to reach in and take some of it.

And their white robes will have to contain an as yet undocumented pocket to put the white stone in.

==============================================================================================

Revelation is acknowledged to be a book of symbols.

Did not He “who has the sharp, double-edged sword” say in Revelation 2:15,16:
15 Likewise you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans.
16 Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
”?

Sword of His mouth? Is it really true of "the Son of God", that He has "eyes like unto a flame of fire" and his "feet are like fine brass"? Will He actually give the morning star to overcomers? Will He really have many crowns on His head? How many (Pedrito wonders)?

Revelation 3:12 says:“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Do pillars wear white robes? Do pillars have foreheads on which three names are written? Is it reasonable that the overcomers will have their freedom of movement taken away? Does the earth really have four corners (Revelation 7:1)?

A book of symbols.

(Now back to faramir.pete's question, which Pedrito finds most reasonable.)

This is one of those questions where I don't think scripture gives us a clear answer. There are a few instances of people who were dead appearing in scripture such as when Elijah and Moses appeared during the transfiguration with Jesus and they were recognized. What we do know is that those who pass out from this life don't have physical bodies and that things like sickness, disease and death are no longer an issue. I would like to think that God knows best what to give each person in terms of a body or presence and leave it at that.

So how do you explain the term spiritual bodies?

Pedrito acknowledges that it is commonly taught that Jesus' resurrection body was a physical one because He ate and could be touched.

However, just a modicum of sensible thought and questioning from Scripture can throw serious doubt on that idea.

Pedrito is reminded of a movie he saw donkey's years upon donkey's years ago. One character had a fetish for ladies' underwear. He used to sneak around and steal items from clotheslines, leaving $5 notes pegged in their place.

In Genesis 18, Abraham was visited by three men. They washed their feet, ate and drank. They were later revealed to be angels. Two of them later physically dragged Lot, his wife, and his daughters out of Sodom. Of the other, we see that when he opened his mouth, the actual words of God issued directly forth.

Angels are spirit beings. They do not have physical bodies, yet those three materialised and ate and drank. And, most importantly, they were clothed. (Unless they were walking around naked.) So where did they get their clothes from? Did they steal those clothes from clotheslines? No. Their clothing materialised with them.

==============================================================================================

When Jesus was raised from the dead, the clothing (wrapping material) in which He had been buried, was left behind. So where did He get His clothes? Don't forget: He was wearing clothes when Mary saw Him, and when He appeared to the disciples. (Unless Pedrito can be accused of reading things into Scripture.) Did He purloin those clothes from somewhere?

No. Jesus was raised a spirit being, with the ability to materialise at will. When He materialised, the clothing materialised with Him. Just like the other recorded spirit beings who materialised, of whom we have looked at three.

Speaking to the Church, Paul says:
1 Corinthians 15:42-44:
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1 Corinthians 15:50-52:
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Pedrito hopes that that has helped.
