I actually haven't gone into my local library. We moved here 9 years ago and they had done construction on it when we first got here, so it was closed for a short while and then there was limited parking and then I got a job and didn't have time to go. Now I haven't gone because I never got a library card and just order books from Amazon.

Small and with a limited selection. But they can get books in from other libraries so it's useable. The librarian who works there is very friendly and helpful, so we use it quite a bit.

If I'm only likely to read a book once it makes more sense to read someone else's copy than buy my own, read it once and then have it take up space or give it away.

It is good to very good for kids, but the adult book selection is pretty sad. They will transfer books in from the main library, but the branch is not great. It is the same one I have been going to since I was a child and it was far superior in the past, now it mostly functions as a place for people to use the computers and community meeting rooms. The kids area has lots of books and some play areas, my son likes it a lot.

My city has a new, absolutely gorgeous, large library.... and rarely is much of anyone in there. It's a ghost town.

We take our sons there for reading time, which is VERY well done. And the librarians could not be nicer and more helpful. It's just there are only a few homeless and very old people there.... it's mostly empty.
