Did you ever obtain your “dream job” to realize it wasn’t actually what you wanted— why did it not live up to expectations?

I have concluded there is no dream job. At least not for me. Even when I was doing portrait art, I wasn't completely happy because there was always a deadline and sometimes the client wasn't as happy as I'd hoped.

I often thought quality control at a chocolate factory or a brewery would be a pretty sweet gig. I'm not sure how well they pay though.

My job is a dream job. Today I showed a collegue our new braille printer and I said it was so fun, cause the paper swells up and he was like yeah well my job is not my hobby. It is my paid hobby. We have one blind collegue now who needs maps and I may make em, cause I'm the only cartographer left there.
