With family - phone callls over texting (although 'Skype' is quite handy)

Driving a car: Manual transmission, hand crank windows, manual locks, simple three-dial HVAC, simple radio with dials and pushbuttons, rear wheel drive, pushrod engine.

Hand write letters. It tells somebody you care, because you took the time out of your busy day.
