What if everything you see in the world around you is God's eternal decree made visible by his creation of time, space and matter?

In Hebrews 11:3 the writer says; “By faith we understand that the worlds were set in order at God’s command, so that the visible has its origin in the invisible.”

Calvin translates it; “so that they became the visibles of things not visible,” or, not apparent. And then says; “thus the same truth is taught here, as in Rom. 1:20, where it is said, that the invisible things of God are made known to us by the creation of the world, they being seen in his works.” Calvin, J., & Owen, J. (2010). Commentary on the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Hebrews (p. 266).

So are we looking at eternity made visible through the matter God created to make it visible? And this can easily fit into 6 literal days. Because the distances and age were already here. Only now made visible 6-7000 years ago.

The same way metal shavings when dusted on a piece of paper with a magnet below, reveal the magnetic waves. Like a huge house, light-years across. Where God applies matter and all the lights come on at once. Taking moments for what would take trillions of light-years using space-time measurements?

This is just a theory I have and it seems to reconcile science and the bible.

So what are you saying, exactly? That the world and universe just looks old but is young, or what? It was a little bit over my head, I think.

No, it could be trillions of years now unfolding as God's eternal decree. More yet to unfold until the universe explodes on the last day according to Peter. But made visible being clothed upon with the creation of matter some 6-7000 years ago. Possibly trillions of years becoming visible as matter adheres to what was already there.

It could be trillions and trillions of years old in its invisible state but clothed upon and made visible by the creation of matter some 6-7000 years ago.

Still not sure I’m getting it but I’ll take your word for it.

Let's try one more time. God is spirit and so are heaven and the universe. The universe can be trillions of years old but invisible. But some 6-7000 years ago, God created time, space, and matter, making the invisible universe visible. So you can now see the trillions of years visibly. So the universe can be that old, but it only became visible after time, space, and matter clung to it. People make the mistake of thinking it was always visible but it was only 6-7000 years ago that God revealed with time, space, and matter.
