Would complaining help or hurt?

We don't always get all of our mail and that's a shame. There are many people in my town who complain about it on the Facebook group, so I know it's not just me. Whenever I get someone else's mail, I take it to their home, but no one does the same for me, the mail just goes missing.

We expected something very important to be delivered on Friday, and it showed up in an email from the Informed Delivery by the USPS that it was supposed to be delivered. It hasn't arrived.

Here's the thing...do we call the USPS and complain? Would it help or would more of our mail go missing because the carrier could get mad at us?

OH my, the is good question. I would at least let them know you didn't receive it. There is that link on each item in Informed Delivery where you can let them know you didn't receive something. Maybe start that way.

We have this issue with packages. Fed Ex use to deliver our packages almost 2 blocks away. They would put them at this person's front door and this person did not use their front door. Not sure how I discovered this. Next time I followed the driver and then made him deliver to the right house. Then complained to FedEX that the drivers need to pay attention to the address, not just the pin location on their app. Been delivering correctly since.

We do have fewer problems with mail going missing as we have one of those neighborhood mail boxes instead of at each house.

I don't get why people don't hand deliver to the correct address or put the item back to be mailed.

You could call to ask about it without necessarily raising a formal complaint?

Oooh I told my husband that you said he could go to the email and click on the link to let them know we didn't receive it. Thank you, so much!! I don't have the emails sent to me, they're sent to him and he likes to check daily to see what we're getting. Or not getting.

Update:

My husband clicked the link on the email for Did Not Receive and it arrived in our mailbox yesterday! It had a rip on the top that wasn't there in the initial scanned photo for informed delivery. So who knows what happened to it.
