What's with the sudden interest in war icons?

It started in the chat box, then Lämm got a new avatar, and it sort of snowballed from there when my mind went to old Stanley Kubrick war flicks. Welcome to CH!

Former war veteran Nick Peace used to serve war, now his battles are of a different nature. Traveling the streets by night and sleeping during the day, locals of Fairtown have become accustomed to this soft spoken preacher man who nevertheless bears the marks of a former life.

"I fight for love" was all he would say when our team asked him his purpose and mission.

I don't know what the thing is with 'war' today. Just finished watching "Patton" on cable. Haven't seen that in years.
