Well.... here in the People's Republic of California.... where the public school's curriculum on such matters was written by Planned Parenthood.... Kindergarden kids are taught to all image they are boys.... then tell what feels good about that, why that's enjoyable. And then all pretend they are girls... and tell what feels good about that, why that's enjoyable... and that gender and sex have nothing to do with each other.... and that no one can tell you what gender you are. And there are books for those in K-3 ... but parents are not told even the titles of those books.

When did I learn about LGBTQ+ folks? I think I was 8 or 9. I was involved for some time as a kid in a youth theatre company, and the two directors were gay (in fact, they were married). I do remember things being... unusual between them and asking my parents about that.... and being pretty shocked. Now both of those men were NOT activists in any way, yet I did pick up on the reality that their relationship was ... different. Of course, NOW, if I went to public schools in California, I'd know in Kindergarten.
