Hi Everyone! with the holidays coming up again was just going to ask if anyone could share their first Bible they finished from first to last chapter. I'm not picky and open to read any book in the Bible again as well since you can always learn something new when reading again.

Cheers everyone and God Bless!

My earliest memories from infancy include family Bible readings every night after dinner. 2 adults. 6 children. I'm the 4th and we all took our turn per night once we had learned to read. We followed the mail order Bible Reading Fellowship "age specific" plan with 4 sets per year of 3 months worth of devotional readings, commentaries, and short prayers. This continued until I was 17 after which I left home for University.

My father was a stickler for correct pronounciation so things got interesting with OT words like Nebuchadnezzar and Zerubbabel.

Most people start at Genesis when they want to read the entire bible so that means most will say they finished Genesis first :D I know I did.

I took several stabs at Genesis as a child. Not sure I finished, but I sure got the most important pert, the first 11 chapters, which set the foundation for the entire Bible and Christian faith.

Like most, I began by reading the Bible very "peacemeal"

But when I was a kid, our family read the entire NT together. So the first Book was probably Matthew.

I have know idea. I grew up in a Southern Baptist home in the deep south (United States). I have John 3:16 memorized but do not remember learning it. The Bible has always been a part of my life. Either at home, through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Sunday Morning Worship Services, Sunday Night Worship Services and Wednesday night children's/youth Studies and activities. Asking me the first book of the Bible I've read is kinda like asking me the first song I listened to. Or the first meal I ever had.

I'm extremely grateful to have had parents who brought me up to not only believe in Christ but modeled living out their faith in their daily walk with God.
