What antivirus program do you use?

I am using the free edition of AVG2015. My computer told me it is interfering with some things but I haven't done anything about it yet.

I, too, have a spyware program. It is called Super AntiSpyware and is free.

Sophos for Mac. It is free and does what I need it to do.

Avast antivirus does the job for me. it's free and warns quickly of any potential threats. Good at blocking malware, does a decent job scanning. There's a paid version, but I don't see a difference in what it would do.

iam using norton pro. it really helps me to stay safe online. because i use the net everyday. i always beleived having a paid version is safer rather than a free version.

As do I. I have the "pay for" version (with all the bells) that I run on all 3 of my computers, but there is a free version that works pretty well. I have mixed feelings about Avast, it does seem to have constant bugs - but then most of these programs do.

I use the full version of AVG Internet Security.

The previous version took an age to run on my desktop but my laptop is a beast of a machine so the full system scan sometimes takes as little as 3 minutes. That said, I configured it so that it doesn't scan my 500GB of photo files, which saves a lot of time.

"Microsoft security essentials" seems to work quite well and uses very little memory and cpu resources. I am sure that other antivirus software does this and that better and that in the event of a serious and determined attack something other than MSSE would work a little bit better but for a home PC it seems more than adequate and it is free. I also use Malwarebytes as an additional scanner for the PC and it has a high reputation from what I have read and seen. The two together are, in my mumble opinion, fairly good protection.

Before I left my last church (due to leaving the area, not falling out!) I helped get them set up and my supplier recommended ESET. As far as I know they've been happy with it.
