There is a large group of people who don't believe in vaccinations for their children. I had my child vaccinated with all but the one for teenaged girls and the reason for that was that there were too many deaths for my liking.

Do you vaccinate? Should we vaccinate?

Yes, and yes. The science of vaccinations is clear. I think it's unethical not to vaccinate.

Absolutely vaccinate. A year ago or so there was a large outbreak of measles that was traced back to a conservative Christian school in our community. Their belief was the old lie that vaccination causes all sorts of developmental issues. If certain things go against conscience or faith issues, let the children be home schooled, rather than putting whole communities at risk and causing an outbreak.

Isn't it odd how religious groups pick up so many conspiracy theories.

Yes and yes. After having pneumonia twice last year, I got the pneumonia vaccine. Don't want to get that and carry it to my elderly patients. I am of the age where many of the diseases we vaccinate for now, we had to get. Many were no fun to have.

As adults we also need to check into getting booster shots since the ones we got as kids possibly wore off.
