I bought a second phone for two reasons
  • to get a new version of android
  • to have a backup in case of damage or loss
but there was an unexpected benefit in having one phone without a sim card in it - I can use it for facebook messenger, skype, and even sms by means of "mightytext".
Isn't that cool. I turned my old 5.7" android 6 phone into a tablet with access to android apps and it's cool.

Is that your main phone now that you use? Do you pay a monthly service with no contract?

No contract and monthly fee of $15 for unlimited calls and unlimited sms and mms and 2GB data. My new phone is one of the fancy 18x9 aspect ratio infinity screen thingies. it too is 5.7" but a smaller in size than my old phone.
