Some teach that there are many baptisms, many teach that there are two - one with water, another with the Holy Spirit - yet the holy scriptures assert that there is one baptism just as there is one faith and one lord. Thus, the holy apostle wrote:
Be anxious to preserve the unity of the Spirit within the bonds of peace. One body and one Spirit: to this you have been called by the one hope of your calling: one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
Ephesians 4:3-6

And this baptism is a necessity, for the Lord himself, while he was personally present upon this Earth said:
Jesus responded: "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless one has been reborn by water and the Holy Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. You should not be amazed that I said to you: You must be born anew. The Spirit inspires where he wills. And you hear his voice, but you do not know where he comes from, or where he is going. So it is with all who are born of the Spirit."
John 3:5-8

The pope changed it in the second century. You have one unscriptural so-called "baptism"

Christ defined it in the first century; saint Peter, first pope as he was, proclaimed it in Rome.

I quoted John 3:5-8, you must have closed your eyes and so came to think there was no scripture.
Born of the water and the Spirit =

“That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,” Ephesians 5:26 (KJV 1900) “Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.” John 3:5 (AMP)

Sir, there is one baptism, as the scripture proclaims; you may want two but you cannot have two.

But you made it unrecognizable according to Jesus and the Apostles.

And nevertheless it is Jesus who said "I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

How do you know you are chosen? I that I am.
I am baptised and receive the Lord in communion, and I believe with my heart that Jesus is Lord and confess it with my mouth. But above all, I trust God and his witness by the Spirit in my heart and his promises. But you, as a Baptist, ought to have heard these things and ought to have read them in the gospels and the letters of the New Testament.

This is what you believe so have at it. I know better.

The baptism that Christ's taught the apostles to give, the one he commanded in Matthew 28:19-20, that is the one baptism, it is also the new birth in water and Spirit that the Lord explained to Nicodemus.

Saint Mark says
Whoever will have believed and been baptized will be saved.
So, the threads on
  • One baptism,
  • Predestination,
  • Truth, and
  • Forgiveness
all come together.

Be anxious to preserve the unity of the Spirit within the bonds of peace.
One body and one Spirit:
to this you have been called
by the one hope of your calling:
one Lord,
one faith,
one baptism,
one God and Father of all,
who is over all,
and through all,
and in us all.
Ephesians 4:3-6

An answer to John Calvin.

A huge problem for Churches today, even though they brush it off and ignore it, stems from the pope's usurping Jesus and the Apostle's authority, who baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, the name of the Triune God that causes Demons to flee. Changing it to baptism in the Name, of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, which is essentially powerless.

baptism in the Name, of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Remember,
Therefore, go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have ever commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, even to the consummation of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20
