The same people saying this - are the ones picking on the people the motto is directed toward. In other cases, they could be the picked on - trying to repress their real feelings, so they succumb to this machismo.

Well, I can understand this thing to an extent - but it's tougher to follow this motto, if you don't have God's spirit, if you were raised by bad parents, say bossy, mean females.

Huh? Are you trying to say the world does owe you something, or agreeing that the world doesn't owe you anything?

Society is what we as a free people decide it is. We have as a society decided to provide certain services to our citizens --- military defense, police services, a justice system, fire services, water supply, transportation infrastructure, etc. Some societies decide to collectively deliver other services as well.
