Literally.
Both Law and the Spirit of Prophesy were made Flesh, fulfilling not only the Law but as the fleshly prophetic Spirit "God with us".
For example in Mathew we are told that "God with Us" from Isaiah literally fulfilled the OT prophesy Isaiah gave to Ahaz.
Ahaz was a corrupt King in Judah, of the House of David.. Syria and the Northern kingdom of Israel usurped Jerusalem in Judah with expectation that Ahaz would ally with them in defense to the king of Assyria..
In great distress Ahaz was sure of the destruction of Judah and the House of David after already losing Jerusalem, so instead Ahaz allied with the king of Assyria..
So God sent Isaiah to Ahaz and told Ahaz to ask for sign from God, Ahaz refused saying he would not tempt the Lord God, Isaiah said well here is the sign anyway..
A young maiden IS with child, she shall call him Immanuel "God with us" and before he is raised to mature obedience.. knowing right from wrong, the northern kingdoms will have already been destroyed and the remnant of the House of David shall be secured as promised..
This is a measurement of time as a sign for Ahaz that this will come to pass very very soon..
Indeed the kings of the North were Assassinated, yet due to his alliance with Assyria Judah had to pay tribute. Jerusalem was taken captive but later returned and the House of David was saved despite Ahaz being a terrible King.
That entire prophesy came to pass, but who was Immanuel the child? Isaiahs son?
Very likely as he states earlier that God has given his sons as signs.. for the Jews today this holds no significance to Jesus Christ but wait... God with us?
The child is a SIGN, particularly the name.. It still points to a son who is literally "God with us" thus God incarnate, to walk among men AS God himself.

Now according to the Torah the Israelites were to take only the virgin captives as wives, why? Because they are pure and untouched by man, this practice surely had much to do with the prevention of STDs and cleanliness for the Jews, to take up undefiled maidens/virgins as wives..

How difficult were the Israelites before when Moses lead them out of Egypt by the Will of God? They murmured and complained, they would rather have their bellies full in Egypt in bondage than to endure discomfort and wander the dessert even while being given mana from Heaven.. Moses even wished that God fill their bellies until food gushed out from their nostrils.. God changes not, the Israelites complained constantly against the Will of God.. So when Jews reject Gods Will like in the case of Jesus Christ fulfilling the Law and being the Word made Flesh via the Spirit of Prophesy, the Only Begotten of God through a PURE Virgin maiden, they are being stubborn once again and wail in lament to the wall of the destruction of the Temple... where there is no more sin offerings nor atonement to cover them.. and THIS is exactly what I believe to be the message in Mathew that Jesus IS THE fulfillment of "God with us" and not just a mere "sign"... it's a prophesy triple fold!
