The question is very vague here.
In generic terms the Bible tells us a lot about the will of God. In specific terms it's not always so simple - if I'm contemplating taking a job with Company A or Company B there isn't a single verse in Scripture that will give me an explicit answer as to which one might be God's will, assuming God even has a preference. Sure, if one company helps widows and orphans and the other uses high pressure sales tactics to get widows in financial distress to borrow money at crippling rates of interest we could draw some generic conclusions from Scripture, but most situations aren't so clear cut.
When we can't draw a specific conclusion from Scripture I figure if God has a preference then God is quite capable of conveying it to us in a way that will make sense to us. We should be careful about putting too much stock in vague concepts that could mean more or less anything but sometimes the reality is that we just don't feel any peace about a particular course of action so we decide not to take it, or we find a steady stream of people making suggestions that all point in a similar manner. In many situations I think that as long as the way these things point isn't something that contradicts Scripture we can potentially regard it as God guiding us.
If people are expecting an angel to appear and write words in the sky or something they're almost guaranteed to be disappointed. I say "almost" because in theory it might happen, it's just vanishingly unlikely.
