The Roman Catholic church has declared Carlos Acutis to be their first Millennial saint. How did they verify the miracle requirements by the young gentleman and why didn't the mainstream media cover those miracles?
This is among the most bizarre practices within Christianity in my opinion. It's plain weird and lacking credibility. It's stuff like this that make people dismiss Christians as nuts. But for the Catholics, it's essentially marketing-- they think that canonizing a young contemporary, will appeal to today's youth--- and boost dwindling attendance. They have labeled this 15 year old who died a saint-- a cyber-saint, and God-Influencer. Strangest of all-- his "miracles" (required as proof for sainthood) occurred after his death-- when folks prayed for his help.
It's nonsense. But they display his dead body, covered in wax and placed in a glass case, so you too can go pray to this idol and have your miracles granted. They tour a piece of his heart around the world, so you can touch the box it is inside with white gloves, and kiss this blarney stone for luck. His mother gifts Catholic churches with strands of her dead son's hair, as mementos.
I say-- Good luck.
