I usually think of the foreign captivity punishment of Israel, but this scattering among the nations is a sanctuary scattering.
Ezekiel 9:3 kjv
3. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;

4. And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

5. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
6.Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

Ezekiel 11:13 kjv
13. And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
14. Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
15. Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from the LORD: unto us is this land given in possession.
16. Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

While Jerusalem was being destroyed a grieving reminant was moved out of harms way.

I hope as this thread develops we see: the effect thes Jews can have on the Gentile nations, and help us see them again in Acts.

Are all the concepts in one book?
it seems the logical carrier of this message is those Jews being scattered. Isaiah may talk of changes in the distant future. I am in no hurry about this thread. I already had to edit a floating sentence fragment. Touch screens can do strange things with one brush of the finger.

Zechariah 14:16 kjv
16. And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Now for about 400 years from Malachi to the coming of Jesus we have scriptural silence.

Then John the Baptist and Jesus are revealed.

John begins to preach the kingdom
Repent
Believe in Him (Jesus)
He will baptise in Holy Ghost and fire

So John and Jesus have finished their ministries, and the disciples are waiting on empowerment to be witnesses.

Acts 2:5 kjv
5. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8. And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9. Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10. Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11. Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

This is the group of mourners that have been in their places of sanctuary for 400 years. They had talked to their nations and made proselytes.
These are good witnesses for the disciples to speak before. Witnesses of the coming of the Holy Spirit.

So the gentile nations have already been exposed to some humble Jews. Not empowered witnesses but declared righteous Jews and proselytes,

enough for now.

We didn’t have scriptural silence for 400 years. We had a silence of prophets, yes. But there were still a succession of high priests who recorded Israel’s history and brought spiritual leadership. God still speaks through the Levite priests, even when there’s no prophets.

The silence from eleazar till yochanon is a testimony of washing.

Not that a Mississippi redneck is really qualified to speak, but the leadership in physical Jerusalem seems pretty messed up by the time Jesus is about to arrive.
......,..
The spiritual voice starts again:
The spiritual activity surrounding the births
of Jesus and John have sudden spiritual awareness.

Outside of Jerusalem, in all those sanctuaries, is just a very very small amount of the inner correct spiritual start of something that has been missing in Jerusalem during those 400 years. The prophesy about the law in hearts and minds is about to be fulfilled.

If anyone is familiar with Galilee of the Gentiles, please give a few words.
I am trying to see what two Galilee areas are present in the time of Jesus.

Matthew 4:13 kjv
13. And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
14. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
15. The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
16. The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
17. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jeremiah 18:18
18. Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

Unwinding this is tough.
So the power in effect rulers in Jerusalem saw themselves as having:
The correct priests
The wise
The correct prophets
And this Jeremiah person ; he needs to be shouted down.

The thing that is (Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and other prophets have the same message of destruction of Jerusalem).

Is washing = cleansing?
Or
Wash the vile people away from the temple?

Washing the enemies away from jerusalem is like the tide to the sands that the faithless build their house.
What remains from certain grains of sand are the pearls revealed as the poor that The Lord promised would always be.

Water and Fire is apart of washing and temperance.

Blessings Always
