What’s the biggest scar on your body and how did you get it?

I have two about the same size, a little under an inch long. One was when I stuck a wallpaper scraper into my wrist, the other was when I cut my the back of my finger with a craft knife in my teenage years.

The scar on the back of my finger was curved, hence it's longer than might be expected and also a much less serious cut than might be expected - I did little more than cut the skin enough to draw blood.

Not sure, i guess the scar under my chin from when I was a small child and hung myself (not on purpose) on the basement stairs. We were playing tag or something and our basement steps did not have backs so you can see through them. I was pretty skinny so would slide through the gap but this time I was a bit higher up and my head got caught and it gashed me under the chin.

The other is not a scar but an asymetrical smile because as a child (same house, same basement) I was running and slipped, fell with my face across the bottom edge of the shower opening and it somehow fused my skin on one side so they had to go in with a knife and cut part of behind (so i recall being told) . Then some plastic surgery that long ago fell apart. I look normal but the smile is lopsided. Nobody says anything so it guess it is nothing horrible.

On October 3rd of 2019, I was attacked on the job. I got punched in the head and my face slit with a box cutter. The injuries were a mild concussion (kept me overnight for observation) and he got me with the box cutter from my ear lobe to my jaw line. Plastic surgeon was called in and it took 22 stitches to close the cut. The plastic surgeon did a great job and the scar is barely visible.

That is horrible and it sounds like it was a co-worker. Hopefully that person is arrested and serving time.

Ouch to Forgiven 1 in previous post, though a controlled surgery, still no fun.

I had heart surgery on my birthday... I was tiny (premature) and the scar on my chest is very long. BUT, perhaps a miracle, but the scar is nearly invisible, very hard to see. Seriously, unless you REALLY look for it, you can't see it. And usually scar tissue doesn't tan, but my does - exactly like the skin around it. A doctor shared the reason is that the incision was made SO early.

I'm a Paramedic and it was a patient that attacked me. The person was found "not liable due to mental impairment".

On my right leg, I have a scar that starts on the upper thigh, just below the hip and runs down to just above my ankle. Ten or so years ago, I had femoral-popliteal bypass surgery to route blood flow around a kinked stent.
