Strange end of the year

It's starting to be a strange end of the year. Strange in that there are things going on that are 'heavy' and just need prayer fr the people involved. We had a team member at work die from overdose last weekend, and a few (unspoken) things are happening with others in my 'circle' that really need prayer for discernment. I wonder, at times, what is in the mind of God - especially that everything should happen at Advent.

The only odd thing that's happened here is that we've had two days of 37C separated by many days in the low to mid 20s C. Next Friday is predicted to go to 39C. The prediction for the days following Friday are all in the high 30s C and one at 40C.
