I listened to this sermon the other day and found it interesting. Basically, Christians "living the life" are corrected daily - while the sinners, though at times experiencing the wrath of God via an un-abundant life, are mostly living high-times - only to be punished "at the day of the Lord".

This is like how someone buys on credit vs paying up-front.

As a Lutheran I believe that Christians are both saints and sinners at the same time. Saints because we have faith in Jesus and sinners because we keep sinning.
