Gerrymandering has always been ridiculous. The way all of these congressional maps are drawn out makes zero sense. I'd say what is going on right now is unique though, as they would normally wait for the new census to drop and then adjust the maps, supposedly taking population/demographic changes into consideration. Where does it end? Texas is doing it, Newsom has been promising that he'll follow in California. Other states have been mentioned as well. In the long run, who does it really hurt? All of us.
